This year’s challenge is Trash Trek. We were tasked with finding a way to cut down on trash or a better way to RECYCLE-REUSE-REDUCE.  We decided to find a way to help clean the landfills, so we can help wildlife (and not-so-wild life). What we came up with is PRETTY AWESOME!

After discussing many options about how to reduce the various items in the landfill, As a team, we came up with the idea of making a pizza box insert.  

The insert would keep the pizza hot, it would keep the cardboard box clean, and the insert itself would be washable and recyclable. Pretty good idea, right?

Our Goal:

Using today’s Technology and Social Media we hope to raise awareness of the problem of Cardboard going into Landfill’s due to food contamination and the solutions available.
